Aim of Ministry:
To prepare parents/guardians for the Baptism of their baby/children.
Baptism Preparation
To arrange Baptism, please check the below dates to see when our next welcome meeting is. There will be a further 3 catechism seminars to attend as listed below. Once you have completed these seminars you will be able to book a Baptism pending your attendance.
In the meantime, please pick up a Baptismal registration form, they are available in the church entrance on the welcome desk. When you are next attending Mass, please introduce yourself and your child to Fr. Philipp, he will be delighted to Welcome you.
Description of Ministry:
- An opportunity to prepare individuals for the importance of the Sacrament of Baptism.
- To help parents/guardians to acknowledge the important step they are taking in bringing their children up and to reflect on their own spiritual/faith practices.
- An opportunity to dialogue about their contribution to the catholic community, how they can help in moving the community forward.
How often do the meetings take place?
Approximately every 2 months, each course consists of 3 meetings.
In the Parish Centre, Sundays after 9:45am Mass
The dates for Baptism courses in 2025 are as follows.
January
Sunday 19th, 26th January, and 2nd February after 9:45 am mass.
March
Sunday 9th, 16th, and 23rd March after 9:45 am mass.
May
Sunday 11th, 18th May, and 25th May after 9:45 am mass.
July
Sunday 6th, 13th July, and 20th July after 9:45 am mass.
September
Sunday 7th, 14th September, and 21st September after 9:45 am mass.
November
Sunday 2nd, 9th, and 16th November after 9:45 am mass.
